Frequently Asked Questions

Are British Shorthair cats friendly?

As true representative of foggy Albion, these cats have a truly aristocratic character: very independent, with sophisticated manners and a sense of tact. They are intelligent and will bond closely with your family. British cats, are although tied to their owner, can calmly endure his long absence - therefore, they are great for lonely or busy people. They also get along well with well-behaved children, and other animals.

How do I take care of a British Shorthair cat?

British cats can live in a private house or an apartment. Before you bring a kitten home, you should prepare everything for your new friend. Make sure that there are no wires or small items that he/she can swallow.

Are kittens litter trained?

Yes, our kittens are litter trained. When you bring a kitten to a new place it is better to keep it in a small room with water, food and a wide litter box. We recommend a litter box from So Phresh Company.

How often should I give my cat a bath?

It is enough to bathe the cat 2-3 times a year, so you don’t wash off the protective layer on the surface of the coat.

What is the Kitten Vaccination Schedule?

All kittens need vaccinations to keep them healthy

* The first vaccination of kittens should be started when they are 8–9 weeks.

* The second vaccination (revaccination with the same vaccine) is done after 2–4 weeks.

* The final kitten vaccination is given to the cat after a year from the second complex vaccination.

* And then you should repeat it yearly.

What is your guarantee?

As a British Shorthair breeder I issue a breeders contract, if required, with a health guarantee information.

1. The breeder guarantees the kitten/cat to be healthy at the time of sale (to the best of our knowledge) and free from any life threatening illness, infections, internal and external parasites, ear mites, fleas and ringworm. The guarantee is valid for 7 days from the date of purchase. During the period of time, the kitten/cat should not be exposed to any ill animals (doing so will void the health guarantee).

2. The breeder recommends the Buyer to take the kitten/cat to their own veterinarian (at Buyer's expense) within the first 72 hours for their own satisfaction and protection. If the vet feels that the animal is ill and that the illness was present prior to sale, the Buyer has the right to return the kitten and the Breeder will refund the purchase price.

3. Health guarantee will not be honored if ownership changes.

What is your Return Policy?

1. The Breeder agrees to accept the kitten/cat back and refund the purchase price excluding deposit (deposit is not refundable) if within the 7 days the Buyer finds that allergy reactions make it impossible to keep the kitten/cat.

2. If at any time after the 7 days the Buyer can no longer take care of the kitten/cat, the Breeder agrees to accept the kitten/cat back without an obligation to refund the purchase price.

3. For all kittens being transported out of the state and/or out of the breeder care, during this period of time the breeder is not responsible for any incidents the kitten may be exposed to.

4. Breeder provides a warranty for genetic problems. All sales are final after 14 days
